Cristi Rareș's late challenge caught a FC U Craiova 1948's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerard Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Patriciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute Sandu Chelaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Cieslak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ikarios Kokkinos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored FC Luck's protests and gave Emilijano Kozapalidis a yellow card for diving instead. Emilijano Kozapalidis hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Ikarios Kokkinos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roch Cieslak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 74 minutes of play FC Luck's Cristi Rareș was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
