Spectators: 8433 (Terracing: 6332, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tiberiu Dulgherescu kicked off to start the match. Nechifor Pătrașcu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Politehnica Iasi's Tiberiu Dulgherescu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 10 minutes into the match, RB Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Dulgherescu came free, but Nechifor Pătrașcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Silviu Zburliş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nechifor Pătrașcu came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Politehnica Iasi's Silviu Zburliş. But to his dismay, Silviu Zburliş quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 20th minute, Tiberiu Dulgherescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Politehnica Iasi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 23rd minute, Tiberiu Dulgherescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nechifor Pătrașcu. The goal made the score 4-0. Nechifor Pătrașcu made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Tiberiu Dulgherescu sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiberiu Dulgherescu in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nechifor Pătrașcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dragoş Mereuță struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Emilian Feteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RB Buzău. In the 33rd minute, Luca Velicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nechifor Pătrașcu was a little too slow when Tiberiu Dulgherescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 5-0. If Tiberiu Dulgherescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Silviu Zburliş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Pătrașcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Porumbescu in the 43rd minute of play forced RB Buzău's goalkeeper Nechifor Pătrașcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dragoş Mereuță stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nechifor Pătrașcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Dulgherescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 56 played minutes RB Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Belu. In the 60th minute Iosif Porumbescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Pătrașcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Politehnica Iasi's Tiberiu Dulgherescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nechifor Pătrașcu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Tiberiu Dulgherescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiberiu Dulgherescu in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nechifor Pătrașcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiberiu Dulgherescu scored 7-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Pătrașcu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nechifor Pătrașcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Zburliş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Politehnica Iasi's Iosif Porumbescu got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelian Pupăzan's late challenge caught a Politehnica Iasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelian Pupăzan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, RB Buzău's Aurelian Pupăzan got a free kick in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Politehnica Iasi's Tiberiu Dulgherescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Pătrașcu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 81 played minutes RB Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Trifănucă. In the 82nd minute, Silviu Zburliş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tiberiu Dulgherescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, RB Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Trişcu came free, but Nechifor Pătrașcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Tiberiu Dulgherescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RB Buzău's Nechifor Pătrașcu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 91 minutes, Tiberiu Dulgherescu made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. RB Buzău's Nechifor Pătrașcu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Politehnica Iasi were the better team. Politehnica Iasi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
