Qian Ying Lang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Corlățean in the 40th minute of play forced UM Timisoara's goalkeeper Juan Gaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liviu Rada might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Gaitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liviu Rada ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute Ernest Oardă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qian Ying Lang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liu Zhi Zheng in the 72nd minute of play. UM Timisoara's Juan Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liu Zhi Zheng in the 74th minute of play. Liviu Rada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Juan Gaitan made a huge save. Liviu Rada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. LIVERPOOL FC made a substitution. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin replaced Liviu Rada. LIVERPOOL FC's Qian Ying Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Mirea in the 85th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, UM Timisoara's goalkeeper Juan Gaitan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jurand Wielopolski. In the 96thth minute of the game Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UM Timisoara's Juan Gaitan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The UM Timisoara fans cheered their team off the field, for while LIVERPOOL FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
