Spectators: 8440 (Terracing: 6331, Seating: 1941, VIP seats: 168) Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Gelu Alexandrescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Gelu Alexandrescu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cătălin Gâțea to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Dedu in the 7th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goalkeeper Nechifor Păunescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cezar Cucu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Csíkszereda's Cătălin Gâțea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save FC Csíkszereda from getting a goal against them. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Doru Barna in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's corner Cezar Cucu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cătălin Gâțea quite easily take care of the ball. Dorin Dedu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nechifor Păunescu having to make a save. In the 24th minute Dorin Dedu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Păunescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, FC Csíkszereda's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Alexandrescu came free, but Cătălin Gâțea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nechifor Păunescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Cicortaș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gelu Alexandrescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Csíkszereda's Cătălin Gâțea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Cezar Cucu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cătălin Gâțea. The goal made the score 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorin Dedu to strike the kick off in the second half. If Dorin Dedu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nechifor Păunescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorin Dedu in the 51st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gelu Alexandrescu in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cătălin Gâțea saved FC Csíkszereda from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, FC Csíkszereda's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Alexandrescu came free, but Cătălin Gâțea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gelu Alexandrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 龙冰文 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Csíkszereda made a substitution. Grigore Arbore replaced Eugen Chiriță. In the 72nd minute Gelu Alexandrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Gâțea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Csíkszereda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Doru Barna was slow to take the kick. During this time Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's players had a chance to rest. Isac Cicortaș took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nechifor Păunescu. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Doru Barna was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cătălin Gâțea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Csíkszereda's Cătălin Gâțea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Alexandrescu in the 82nd minute of play. Cătălin Gâțea came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Vali Cucu. But to his dismay, Vali Cucu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Cătălin Gâțea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 龙冰文 in the 89th minute of the match. After 90 minutes, Doru Barna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fotbal Club Otelul Galati and the FC Csíkszereda players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fotbal Club Otelul Galati getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Doru Barna hit a great ball. Hortêncio Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hortêncio Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Barna in the 94th minute of play forced FC Csíkszereda's goalkeeper Cătălin Gâțea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigore Arbore struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Nechifor Păunescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Csíkszereda. When the referee ended the match the Fotbal Club Otelul Galati players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
