Vintilă Vâtcu hit a great ball. With a little luck, Black Diamond's Dick Vedholm got control of the ball when Denis Oprescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dick Vedholm made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Denis Oprescu sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Black Diamond's Akın Turhan got a free kick in the 46th minute. Denis Oprescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Dick Vedholm made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Denis Oprescu was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Jienescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Hortopan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Akın Turhan took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Daniel Jienescu to make any attempt to save it. Black Diamond's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
