Spectators: 8504 (Terracing: 6378, Seating: 1956, VIP seats: 170) Cezar Bourceanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that 曾钢宁's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitris Charalambopoulos was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, 曾钢宁 put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dimitris Charalambopoulos. 13 minutes into the match, FC U Cluj-N's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Bourceanu came free, but Mircea Calboreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezar Bourceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mircea Calboreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Cezar Bourceanu put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mircea Calboreanu. If 曾钢宁 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lode Vermeiren hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, FC Panat's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Turcu came free, but Dimitris Charalambopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Drăgănoiu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. FC U Cluj-N's Mircea Calboreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Drăgănoiu in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match FC Panat got a corner. FC U Cluj-N's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Folke Hasselqvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC U Cluj-N's goalie and right to Lode Vermeiren. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC U Cluj-N's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a little luck, FC U Cluj-N's Mircea Calboreanu got control of the ball when Cezar Bourceanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimitris Charalambopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 曾钢宁's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Mircea Calboreanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cezar Bourceanu went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute Cezar Bourceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Calboreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 曾钢宁 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mircea Calboreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Bourceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 曾钢宁 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Dimitris Charalambopoulos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When FC Panat's Cezar Bourceanu in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC U Cluj-N's goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd minute of the match FC U Cluj-N got a corner. FC Panat's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabian Mușetescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Fabian Mușetescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dimitris Charalambopoulos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Bourceanu in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mircea Calboreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cezar Bourceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Panat's Filip Nae was substituted for Folke Hasselqvist. Dimitris Charalambopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Florescu in the 74th minute of play. Cezar Bourceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mircea Calboreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC U Cluj-N made a substitution. Mihai Lăzăroiu replaced 曾钢宁. Dimitris Charalambopoulos made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Mihai Lăzăroiu sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 90 minutes, Cezar Bourceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Panat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cezar Bourceanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Olimpiu Panaitoiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mircea Calboreanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC U Cluj-N players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Panat.
