After some careless play in the Chevaliers FC defense, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Lucescu. The Chevaliers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Lucescu should have stopped the shot. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Isac Hojbota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Ştercă in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Lucescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Lucescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After the first half FC Politehnica Timisoara were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo-Enrique Bochini made a kick off. Chevaliers FC's Fabian Lucescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 52nd minute of play. Cătălin Manciulescu made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cornel Bogrea immediately put the ball in play.
