Mădălin Cangeopol took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dinu Oardă. Dinu Oardă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dinu Oardă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Mutu in the 39th minute of the match. Dinu Oardă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Mutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 43rd match minute, Tractorul Satulung -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Mutu to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adrian Mutu to strike the kick off in the second half. Adrian Mutu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Oardă having to interfere. Panait Hațegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Oprescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tractorul Satulung -MM- had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
