The audience was convinced that Ştefan Costin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aron Hârțan was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Aron Hârțan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Costin in the 38th minute of play. Ştefan Costin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Politehnica Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ştefan Costin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA BRAILA's goalkeeper Aron Hârțan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ştefan Costin. Darwin Núñez took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isac Hojbota. Isac Hojbota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. FC Politehnica Timisoara made a substitution. Olimpiu Rizea replaced Ernest Manea. Isac Hojbota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 71st minute of play. Nicolae Nicoliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Hârțan having to interfere. Timmy Deckbergh kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 90 minutes FC STEAUA BRAILA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Almiro Saraiva who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Martin Crușeveanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aron Hârțan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
