Radu Borza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aron Hârțan having to make a save. Fabian Lucescu came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by FC STEAUA BRAILA's Maurício Corrêa. But to his dismay, Maurício Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Korneliusz Kocieniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Chevalier in the 42nd minute of play forced FC STEAUA BRAILA's goalkeeper Aron Hârțan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Chevalier in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aron Hârțan saved FC STEAUA BRAILA from getting behind. A collision led to FC STEAUA BRAILA getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bogdan Modano hit a great ball. The supporters of FC STEAUA BRAILA booed when Chevaliers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Secoşan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Korneliusz Kocieniewski scored 3-0 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Lucescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Korneliusz Kocieniewski was the one to do the kick off. Fabian Lucescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, Chevaliers FC's Denis Ştercă got a free kick in the 58th minute. If Korneliusz Kocieniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Maurício Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA BRAILA's Korneliusz Kocieniewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Lucescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabian Lucescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Corrêa in the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, FC STEAUA BRAILA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Uibo to maneuver through the defense. Cornel Bogrea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aron Hârțan having to make a save. In the 80th minute of the match, Cornel Bogrea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aron Hârțan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 84th minute of the match FC STEAUA BRAILA got a corner. Chevaliers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vali Buzescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC STEAUA BRAILA's Aron Hârțan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC STEAUA BRAILA from getting a goal against them. If Maurício Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radu Borza kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Maurício Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Lucescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
