After having played for 6 minutes, Ursus Martin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ursus Martin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Lucescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Cangeopol in the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Tractorul Satulung -MM- were awarded a corner. Afonsinho Barros went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Marius Tănasă heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Denis Ştercă's late challenge caught a Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Ştercă helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chevaliers FC's Denis Ştercă got a free kick in the 15th minute. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Ursus Martin got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ursus Martin in the 20th minute of play forced Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Fabian Lucescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mădălin Cangeopol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Lucescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mădălin Cangeopol's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 25th match minute, Chevaliers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Ştercă to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Cangeopol in the 26th minute of play forced Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Fabian Lucescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radu Borza to make the kick off. Fabian Lucescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mădălin Cangeopol's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mădălin Cangeopol in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Lucescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Chevaliers FC's Sorin Gurgui got a free kick in the 55th minute. After taking down the ball on Chevaliers FC's corner Sorin Gurgui fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Panait Hațegan quite easily take care of the ball. In the 71st match minute, Chevaliers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Secoşan to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mădălin Cangeopol in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Lucescu saved Chevaliers FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mădălin Cangeopol got free with Fabian Lucescu in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chevaliers FC's goalkeeper Fabian Lucescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrian Mutu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Rareș Secoşan was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chevaliers FC! Fabian Lucescu had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Adrian Mutu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Fabian Lucescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Cangeopol in the 92nd minute of play. If Afonsinho Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tractorul Satulung -MM- had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
