Spectators: 9193 (Terracing: 6896, Seating: 2114, VIP seats: 183) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leonard Aanuţei took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodor Huștiu got free with Gheorghe Baldovin in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute Fotbal Club Vaslui were awarded a corner. Wellington Neves went to the cornerflag to take it. If Traian Traian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Traian came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Aanuţei, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Huștiu to maneuver through the defense. Traian Traian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baldovin having to interfere. After 28 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Trif. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Traian in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vintilă Stoicea in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genaro Montez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Filip Aanicăi fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fotbal Club Vaslui's protests and gave Filip Aanicăi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Aanicăi to maneuver through the defense. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Visti Hjelmstoft was substituted for Gică Hăulică. Leonard Aanuţei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Genaro Montez. Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Traian came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Aanuţei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Traian in the 64th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Montez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marius Bunoaică's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 71st minute, Traian Traian made a precise shot to the right of Gheorghe Baldovin. FC Buzău's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Fotbal Club Vaslui made a substitution. Matías Azevedo replaced Traian Traian. 85 minutes into the game, Teodor Huștiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Gheorghe Baldovin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 89 minutes of play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Matías Azevedo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gheorghe Baldovin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fotbal Club Vaslui's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
