With his leg Jan-Åke Emander managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Emil Gabor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Furdui in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, The Owls's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Emander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Păvăloae. Emil Gabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Galante in the 27th minute of the match. When William Creemers fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Owls's protests and gave William Creemers a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, The Owls's William Creemers got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, The Owls's Jan-Åke Emander got control of the ball when Ilie Răduleț tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Galante came free, but Emil Gabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, The Owls's Gino Galante made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Gabor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emil Gabor came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by The Owls's Ubarna Harroyo. But to his dismay, Ubarna Harroyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Laurențiu Loghin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jan-Åke Emander firmly grabbed it by the left post. 44 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Furdui came free, but Emil Gabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Codrin Zdrobău made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Emil Gabor successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 54th minute of the match The Owls got a corner. Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. William Creemers ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in William Creemers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ninjas in Pyjamas's Emil Gabor did a great save. Jan-Åke Emander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihnea Iosub's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ninjas in Pyjamas's zone, Gino Galante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Gabor came out of the goal and Gino Galante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emil Gabor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gino Galante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Emil Gabor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gino Galante. Jan-Åke Emander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilie Răduleț, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jan-Åke Emander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Iosub in the 71st minute of play. Jan-Åke Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilie Răduleț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Iosub in the 77th minute of play forced The Owls's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Emander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Åke Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Iosub, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Mihnea Iosub shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Emander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Åke Emander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Zdrobău in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, The Owls's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Zdrobău came free, but Jan-Åke Emander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Owls walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
