In the 2nd match minute, FC Maci -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoly Karpov to maneuver through the defense. Diego Cannavaro kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Elfii's goal looked a bit too open when Anatoly Karpov came free, but Ciprian Siteavu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Mavrogheni in the 18th minute of play forced Elfii's goalkeeper Ciprian Siteavu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciprian Siteavu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Czapski, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ciprian Siteavu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anatoly Karpov, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute Anatoly Karpov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Siteavu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Voicu kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match, Altan Çağa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tristan Falco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nichifor Gheban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristan Falco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. In the 57th minute Vintilă Bădulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Falco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Czapski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ciprian Siteavu made a huge save. The supporters of FC Maci -MM- booed when Elfii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Cannavaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Maci -MM-'s Tristan Falco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Bădulescu in the 95th minute of play.
