Matei Călin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Leahu having to interfere. Melchazadec Terron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Twan van Nistelrooij in the 4th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Michael Jordan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Melchazadec Terron quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Twan van Nistelrooij's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melchazadec Terron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Twan van Nistelrooij managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. YKE's supporters rose to their feet, but Twan van Nistelrooij was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchazadec Terron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. F.C. YKE were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after FC Internazionale's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Michael Jordan took the corner. Melchazadec Terron was a little too slow when Traian Brăiloiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Melchazadec Terron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodri Gol in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodri Gol in the 28th minute of play forced FC Internazionale's goalkeeper Melchazadec Terron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute FC Internazionale were awarded a corner. Matei Călin went to the cornerflag to take it. F.C. YKE's Michael Jordan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Melchazadec Terron but with some difficulty. Bülent Erduran's late challenge caught a F.C. YKE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bülent Erduran helped the player get up and apologised. Traian Brăiloiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Melchazadec Terron made a huge save. Melchazadec Terron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Twan van Nistelrooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melchazadec Terron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Twan van Nistelrooij, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Florin Crăciunaș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matei Călin was the one to do the kick off. Melchazadec Terron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodri Gol in the 53rd minute of the match. After 60 played minutes F.C. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Ceaușescu. 61 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Felix Leahu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florin Crăciunaș. With an all-out effort, FC Internazionale's Felix Leahu threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cornel Popovici, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Giles Bell charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giles Bell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes FC Internazionale got a freekick which was hit by Giles Bell. Melchazadec Terron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Brăiloiu in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Internazionale's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Michael Jordan was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. YKE's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Mugur Ceaușescu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Melchazadec Terron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodri Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bülent Erduran hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the game, FC Internazionale's Matei Călin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Leahu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 92nd minute Twan van Nistelrooij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchazadec Terron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchazadec Terron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Brăiloiu in the 96th minute of the match. FC Internazionale succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though F.C. YKE had controlled the match.
