Spectators: 10850 (Terracing: 8139, Seating: 2495, VIP seats: 216) Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 13th minute of play. Tiberiu Caramarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lyle Coppack read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute MIT were awarded a corner. Aurel Buzea went to the cornerflag to take it. Aurel Buzea made a great header on MIT's corner, it was just that Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. MIT's Alex Balotă quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anacleto Geofredo, made in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 25th minute, Aurel Buzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the game, Florin Seremet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely the free kick. After 27 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Florin Seremet. Calistrat Madgearu came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Carlos Mei. But to his dismay, Carlos Mei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Mihăiţă Stolniceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Carlos Mei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Radu Sărăroiu hit a great ball. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Mei in the 48th minute of play. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ediberto de Queirós in the 49th minute. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Ediberto de Queirós was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Calistrat Madgearu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Carlos Mei made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Mei. 55 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lyle Coppack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely defense, Tiberiu Caramarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lyle Coppack. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lyle Coppack should have stopped the shot. Florin Seremet made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Jerrald Caldera. 75 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Caramarin came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MIT made a substitution. David Tunander replaced Dorin Banu. MIT's Calistrat Madgearu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save MIT from getting a goal against them. Lyle Coppack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Tunander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Jerrald Caldera got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Jerrald Caldera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Carlos Mei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
