Spectators: 7650 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tudor Dadu got the match started through his kick off. Tudor Dadu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Octavian Pârlea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fãgãdãu CSF's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavian Pârlea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucian Izmanã breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petru Botu got free with Emilian Jalbã in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucian Izmanã made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Pârlea in the 18th minute of play. Fãgãdãu CSF were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Mereşeuca's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicolae Mititel took the corner. Octavian Pârlea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Lucian Izmanã tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavian Pârlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Izmanã having to interfere. If Octavian Pârlea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucian Izmanã didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viorel Chetrutã went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tudor Dadu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Petru Botu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Jalbã having to interfere. Emilian Jalbã made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Botu in the 61st minute of play. Petru Botu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Emilian Jalbã tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mereşeuca's Lucian Izmanã proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Mereşeuca from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Mihail Izmanã shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Jalbã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexei Toderascu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Jalbã having to interfere. With a little luck, Mereşeuca's Lucian Izmanã got control of the ball when Viorel Chetrutã tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Petru Botu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mereşeuca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petru Botu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viorel Chetrutã might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucian Izmanã. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viorel Chetrutã ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th play minute Viorel Chetrutã came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lucian Izmanã. 0-2. Mereşeuca's Lucian Izmanã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Pârlea in the 98th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fãgãdãu CSF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
