Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Virgiliu Cerbu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 played minutes Virgiliu Cerbu rounded Bîrnova FCA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Liviu Blajin struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Iurie Graur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alunis. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Virgiliu Cerbu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alunis's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgiliu Cerbu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Graur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cãtãlin Buturugã received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vladimir Burduja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iurie Graur was a little too slow when Virgiliu Cerbu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. After having played for 37 minutes, Vlad Vârtosu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alunis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlad Vârtosu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 played minutes Bîrnova FCA got a freekick which was hit by Dragos Musteatã. Alunis's Vlad Vârtosu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bîrnova FCA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Vlad Vârtosu scored to the left of an out of position Iurie Graur, making the score, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dragos Musteatã made a kick off. Virgiliu Cerbu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iurie Graur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Liviu Blajin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
