Octavian Izmanã showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragos Colesnic in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 minutes of play, Curralinho da Bahia FC's Denis Delinschi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavel Plugaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dragos Colesnic's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Izmanã read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. If Vadim Pânzaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dragos Colesnic blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavian Izmanã having to make a save. Vadim Pânzaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Izmanã having to interfere. With a little luck, Vulcãnesti FCA's Pavel Plugaru got control of the ball when Denis Delinschi tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The attack was good, but when Constantin Calistru in the 59th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Denis Delinschi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vadim Pânzaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Octavian Izmanã tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Curralinho da Bahia FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Botu. With his leg Octavian Izmanã managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Vulcãnesti FCA's Vadim Pânzaru fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Curralinho da Bahia FC's zone, Vadim Pânzaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Izmanã came out of the goal and Vadim Pânzaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Constantin Calistru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vladimir Fratea fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vulcãnesti FCA's protests and gave Vladimir Fratea a yellow card for diving instead.
