Iulian Vartic's late challenge caught a University of Pennsylvan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored University of Pennsylvan's protests and gave Marcel Gonta a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petrea Juravschi in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petrea Comerzan saved University of Pennsylvan from getting behind. Florin Gusã fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrea Comerzan having to interfere. The University of Pennsylvan players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
