In the 11th minute Octavian Doibani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Cheptene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, FC Zimbru's goal looked a bit too open when Vitalie Perju came free, but Anatolie Iordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Zimbru's Teodor Cotofanã got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 19 played minutes, Cãrãhãsani FC's Ghitã Lazãr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anatolie Iordan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cãrãhãsani FC reached it. Grigore Gusã hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes, Dragos Prutean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Zimbru and the Cãrãhãsani FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes, Cãrãhãsani FC's Ghitã Lazãr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anatolie Iordan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Anton Cãpraru's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Iurie Cheptene skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zimbru's zone, Nicolae Toderascu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anatolie Iordan came out of the goal and Nicolae Toderascu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Cãpraru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Cheptene having to interfere. Anatolie Iordan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitalie Perju, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nicolae Toderascu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octavian Doibani to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicolae Toderascu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anatolie Iordan having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Nicolae Toderascu rounded FC Zimbru's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Cãrãhãsani FC's Iurie Cheptene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Cãpraru in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Anton Cãpraru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Zimbru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Cãpraru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolae Toderascu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iurie Cheptene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Doibani, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. If Octavian Doibani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Cãrãhãsani FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Zimbru.
