In the 25th minute, Ciprian Delinschi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ciprian Delinschi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Marin Butuc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nimoreni UFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzesti UFC's zone, Emilian Blajin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boris Cepraga came out of the goal and Emilian Blajin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Anton Luncasu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Nimoreni UFC's Cornel Casu. Cornel Casu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciprian Delinschi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Emilian Blajin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nimoreni UFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzesti UFC the free kick. After 54 played minutes Nimoreni UFC got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Blajin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Luncasu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornel Casu saved Nimoreni UFC from getting behind. 59 minutes into the match, Emilian Blajin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boris Cepraga. Cruzesti UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilian Blajin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Nimoreni UFC's Emilian Blajin got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66thth minute of the game Marin Butuc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzesti UFC's Boris Cepraga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Anton Luncasu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciprian Delinschi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornel Casu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play.
