Stefan Timofte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Bolduresti's Ciprian Gusã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Volontir in the 14th minute of play. When Ion Chiritã came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC Bolduresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ion Chiritã couldn't finish the play. When FC Bolduresti's Ion Chiritã in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorocolet's goalie prevented a goal. In the 21st minute, Marin Speianu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Bolduresti's Nichifor Burduf got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ciprian Gusã made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Valentin Balaur sent off a good shot on target. Valentin Balaur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Ciprian Gusã made a huge save. Stefan Timofte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ion Chiritã in the 31st minute of play. Marin Speianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marin Speianu scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stefan Timofte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cãlin Cornea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Stefan Timofte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Ion Chiritã sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute of the match, Marin Speianu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stefan Timofte saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The FC Bolduresti fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when FC Bolduresti's Marin Speianu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gheorghe Isac hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Stefan Timofte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Speianu in the 68th minute of the match. With his leg Stefan Timofte managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when FC Bolduresti's Ion Chiritã fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Sorocolet getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Anton Juravschi hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, FC Bolduresti's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Balaur came free, but Ciprian Gusã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Timofte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Speianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute of the match, Ion Chiritã got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stefan Timofte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sorocolet's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Ion Chiritã scored to the left of an out of position Stefan Timofte, making the score, 0-4. In the 84th minute, Marin Speianu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stefan Timofte was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The FC Bolduresti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Bolduresti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
