Spectators: 8154 (Terracing: 6117, Seating: 1875, VIP seats: 162) Dacia Chișinău's Virgiliu Bumbac started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Cricova got a freekick which was hit by Cãtãlin Vornic. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrei Curagãu got free with Vladimir Josan in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Radu Apostol's late challenge caught a Cricova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radu Apostol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute Valentin Filip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Josan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Gribincea in the 20th minute of play forced Cricova's goalkeeper Ilie Afteni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Dacia Chișinău's goalkeeper Vladimir Josan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrei Curagãu. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Virgiliu Bumbac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dacia Chișinău's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgiliu Bumbac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Afteni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimir Josan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Filip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciprian Castravet kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Nicolae Deleanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgiliu Bumbac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Afteni having to interfere. Nicolae Deleanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ilie Afteni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrei Curagãu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Filip was the one to do the kick off. Nicolae Deleanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Afteni having to interfere. In the 54thth minute of the game Virgiliu Bumbac who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cricova's Ilie Afteni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valentin Filip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Vladimir Josan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolae Deleanu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ilie Afteni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dacia Chișinău. With a little luck, Cricova's Ilie Afteni got control of the ball when Nicolae Deleanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolae Deleanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilie Afteni having to make a save. The supporters of Dacia Chișinău booed when Cricova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciprian Castravet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilie Afteni acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iulian Gribincea. 78 minutes into the match, Cricova's Andrei Curagãu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimir Josan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vasile Ureche's late challenge caught a Dacia Chișinău's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Josan came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Cricova's Andrei Curagãu. But to his dismay, Andrei Curagãu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 95th minute, Nicolae Deleanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Afteni was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
