Alexei Comerzan's late challenge caught a F.C. Speranta Nisporeni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Speranta Nisporeni's Marin Minciunã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Josan in the 35th minute of play. If Teodor Cârlig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Princeton University's Radu Josan got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Teodor Cecan had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Princeton University's Alexei Comerzan got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Alexei Comerzan off the ground. After a rather tough play, Princeton University's Alexei Comerzan got a free kick in the 46th minute.
