Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Giurgiulesti's Emil Costin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vasile Crudu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Giurgiulesti's Nichifor Curagãu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Giurgiulesti from getting a goal against them. Eduard Vartic's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Nichifor Curagãu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Neculaieni booed when Giurgiulesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitalie Cârlig didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lilian Apostol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nichifor Curagãu came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Neculaieni's Vasile Crudu. But to his dismay, Vasile Crudu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Iurie Proca hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, Giurgiulesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Curcã to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Neculaieni's Lilian Apostol tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Lilian Apostol came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Neculaieni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lilian Apostol couldn't finish the play. Eduard Vartic's late challenge caught a Giurgiulesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduard Vartic helped the player get up and apologised. Eduard Vartic hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Emil Costin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Iordan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduard Vartic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Curagãu having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Bogdan Izmanã made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Giurgiulesti's Nichifor Curagãu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eduard Vartic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iulian Iordan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Costin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Izmanã made a kick off. Neculaieni's Iulian Iordan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Cercel in the 52nd minute of play. Nichifor Curagãu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bogdan Izmanã's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Eduard Vartic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichifor Curagãu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Vasile Crudu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neculaieni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giurgiulesti the free kick. After 58 played minutes Neculaieni got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Crudu. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Iulian Iordan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Giurgiulesti defense, Lilian Apostol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nichifor Curagãu. The Giurgiulesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nichifor Curagãu should have stopped the shot. Eduard Vartic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Curagãu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Izmanã in the 79th minute of play forced Giurgiulesti's goalkeeper Nichifor Curagãu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes of play Neculaieni's Vasile Crudu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 81 played minutes Neculaieni got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Crudu. Iulian Iordan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cãlin Stratulat in the 87th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cãlin Stratulat got free with Iulian Iordan in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduard Vartic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nichifor Curagãu having to interfere. Iulian Iordan came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Giurgiulesti's Cãlin Stratulat. But to his dismay, Cãlin Stratulat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Neculaieni's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
