Centru FC's Geoffry Daems got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tudor Cucu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Cotorobai in the 14th minute of play. Cristian Bold received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petru Cârlig came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Bold slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Lilian Pãduret scored 2-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tudor Cucu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tudor Cucu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Cotorobai, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Igor Luncasu fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cricova's protests and gave Igor Luncasu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Igor Luncasu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petru Cârlig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Bold, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihail Darie got free with Petru Cârlig in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, Centru FC's goalkeeper Petru Cârlig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nichifor Izvoreanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Bold in the 37th minute of play forced Centru FC's goalkeeper Petru Cârlig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petru Cârlig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihail Darie in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihail Darie got free with Petru Cârlig in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Izvoreanu in the 48th minute of play forced Centru FC's goalkeeper Petru Cârlig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Grigore Cotorobai made the kick off in the second half. Petru Cârlig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Darie, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Nichifor Izvoreanu came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cricova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nichifor Izvoreanu couldn't finish the play. Mihail Darie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petru Cârlig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Grigore Cotorobai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Cucu having to interfere. Petru Cârlig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Bold in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Cricova getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. In the 94th minute, Dorel Gusã had to leave the field with a concussion. The supporters of Cricova booed when Centru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ghenadie Burlea didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Cricova were the better team. Cricova's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
