Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alexãndreni's Ghenadie Vasiliu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Boris Dobândã's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boris Botu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Marius Casu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Pãduret in the 9th minute of play. Marius Casu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorel Cheptene in the 12th minute. When Tudor Izmanã came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ialoveni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tudor Izmanã couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute Boris Dobândã shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Botu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Ialoveni's Dorel Cheptene ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marius Casu. Marius Casu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Izmanã in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marius Casu saved Alexãndreni from getting behind. Marius Casu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Pãduret, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Liviu Pãduret might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marius Casu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liviu Pãduret ran back to his position shaking his head. 32 minutes into the match, Alexãndreni's goal looked a bit too open when Tudor Izmanã came free, but Marius Casu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marius Casu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Pãduret in the 33rd minute of play. Boris Botu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ghenadie Vasiliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ghenadie Vasiliu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liviu Pãduret was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Alexãndreni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Burlea to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Alexãndreni getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ghenadie Vasiliu hit a great ball. Vasile Volontir's late challenge caught a Alexãndreni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasile Volontir helped the player get up and apologised. Vasile Volontir kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Boris Botu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boris Dobândã went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute, Liviu Pãduret made a precise shot to the right of Marius Casu. Alexãndreni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Alexãndreni's Ghenadie Vasiliu got a free kick in the 76th minute. Boris Botu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ghenadie Vasiliu in the 85th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Ialoveni got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Cheptene. 90 minutes into the game, Ialoveni's Tudor Izmanã nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marius Casu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.
