After 21 played minutes Santos FC Moldova got a freekick which was hit by Radu Postolache. 23 minutes into the game, Leonid Galkin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ciprian Pricop was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 27 minutes of play, Red United's Alix Brandenberger made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 31st match minute, Santos FC Moldova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Corlãteanu to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Alix Brandenberger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciprian Pricop. Santos FC Moldova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alix Brandenberger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. 37 minutes into the game, Alix Brandenberger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos FC Moldova the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Red United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alix Brandenberger to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, 孟延笑 made a precise shot to the right of Ciprian Pricop. Santos FC Moldova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. When Alix Brandenberger came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Red United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alix Brandenberger couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Gheorghe Papuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alix Brandenberger to strike the kick off in the second half. Boris Platon scored 2-6 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciprian Pricop, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 played minutes Santos FC Moldova got a freekick which was hit by Radu Postolache. 64 minutes into the match, Santos FC Moldova's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Juravschi came free, but Ciprian Pricop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Santos FC Moldova getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Radu Postolache hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Dan Afteni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petru Izbas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Ciocan, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The supporters of Santos FC Moldova booed when Red United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. 孟延笑 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciprian Pricop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孟延笑, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, 孟延笑 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ciprian Pricop. 孟延笑 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-8. Red United made a substitution. Emil Braga replaced Boris Platon. Ciprian Pricop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孟延笑, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Santos FC Moldova's goalkeeper Ciprian Pricop had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nemesio Montxo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Ciocan in the 95th minute of play forced Red United's goalkeeper Petru Izbas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Santos FC Moldova's Sandu Ciocan in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Red United's goalie prevented a goal. Red United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
