Spectators: 7744 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 15) Drive's Viesturs Ielītis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Drive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egons Konuševskis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolands Jonāns in the 5th minute of play forced Drive's goalkeeper Maksis Sakelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miķelis Kvēpiņš's late challenge caught a FK Viesulis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miķelis Kvēpiņš helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Drive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miķelis Kvēpiņš to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Krišs Kaltriņš managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Viesulis's supporters rose to their feet, but Krišs Kaltriņš was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksis Sakelis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to FK Viesulis getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Virgil Feraru hit a great ball. In the 12th minute of the match Henrihs Leitietis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vilnis Balačūns skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgil Feraru in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maksis Sakelis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Virgil Feraru did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Maksis Sakelis 18 minutes into the match. Virgil Feraru in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maksis Sakelis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 26 played minutes, Drive's Silvestrs Maskalāns shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vilnis Balačūns came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drive reached it. In the 27th match minute, Drive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrihs Leitietis to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Drive's Maksis Sakelis got control of the ball when Virgil Feraru tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 37 played minutes Drive got a freekick which was hit by Egons Konuševskis. Ritvaldis Bergmans's late challenge caught a Drive's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ritvaldis Bergmans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, FK Viesulis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ritvaldis Bergmans to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Eduards Plaks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drive's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduards Plaks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vilnis Balačūns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th match minute, Drive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduards Plaks to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Virgil Feraru made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, FK Viesulis's Virgil Feraru made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maksis Sakelis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Virgil Feraru came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the FK Viesulis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgil Feraru couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the game, Oto Bakāns cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Maksis Sakelis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute, Viesturs Ielītis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FK Viesulis's Anatols Kurlands was substituted for Virgil Feraru. When FK Viesulis's Anatols Kurlands in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Drive's goalie prevented a goal. After 82 played minutes FK Viesulis got a freekick which was hit by Raits Ermiks. Uģis Veidulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Anatols Kurlands shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksis Sakelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Krišs Kaltriņš took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maksis Sakelis. Maksis Sakelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When the referee ended the match the FK Viesulis players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
