Valērijs Kurciss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miervaldis Tamanis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gatis Ellers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gatis Ellers might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valērijs Kurciss. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gatis Ellers ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Rūķu kodēji defense, Gatis Ellers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valērijs Kurciss. The Rūķu kodēji fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valērijs Kurciss should have stopped the shot. Arnolds Pods took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ādolfs Razuvāns. Ādolfs Razuvāns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. FK KLG's Ādolfs Razuvāns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnolds Pods in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by FK KLG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Auseklis Birks was slow to take the kick. During this time Rūķu kodēji's players had a chance to rest. Ādolfs Razuvāns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnolds Pods in the 39th minute of play. Miervaldis Tamanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Valērijs Kurciss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Izidors Cābels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ādolfs Razuvāns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnolds Pods in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnolds Pods to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Aļģirts Erbergs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rūķu kodēji and the FK KLG players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rūķu kodēji getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Aļģirts Erbergs hit a great ball. Uldis Pontāgs took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valērijs Kurciss. Rūķu kodēji's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 58 played minutes FK KLG got a freekick which was hit by Kārlis Meškūns. Ādolfs Razuvāns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izidors Cābels in the 59th minute of play. When Arnolds Pods came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Rūķu kodēji fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnolds Pods couldn't finish the play. Kārlis Meškūns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Valērijs Kurciss made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Izidors Cābels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ādolfs Razuvāns was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 80th minute, Zandis Kellerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 84th minute of the match Aļģirts Erbergs completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aļģirts Erbergs a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aļģirts Erbergs kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Izidors Cābels in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ādolfs Razuvāns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Rūķu kodēji's Valērijs Kurciss got control of the ball when Gatis Ellers tried to sneak it across the goal line. The FK KLG players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Rūķu kodēji from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
