The referee ignored Martiniania's protests and gave Ronalds Vitauskis a yellow card for diving instead. 90 minutes into the match, Martiniania's goal looked a bit too open when Paulis Lapains came free, but Indulis Leitarts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Indulis Leitarts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulis Lapains, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliāns Vaiders in the 96th minute of play forced Martiniania's goalkeeper Indulis Leitarts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
