That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Rindzel's Krists Skretelis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dzintars Kaktabuls narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Krists Skretelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mārtiņs Sidis made a kick off. Osvalds Zadaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Indriki's zone, Krists Skretelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dzintars Kaktabuls came out of the goal and Krists Skretelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Indriki's Dzintars Kaktabuls played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krists Skretelis in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verners Sembergs in the 84th minute of play forced Indriki's goalkeeper Dzintars Kaktabuls to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85th play minutes Verners Sembergs shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Dzintars Kaktabuls and just under the crossbar into goal. Rindzel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
