Jūlijs Vībotne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igmārs Drozds-Strazdiņš's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Jūlijs Vībotne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinholds Gribulis in the 13th minute of the match. If Juliāns Vaiders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jūlijs Vībotne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igmārs Drozds-Strazdiņš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Igmārs Drozds-Strazdiņš had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jūlijs Vībotne. FHS Gramzda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igmārs Drozds-Strazdiņš was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinholds Gribulis in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jūlijs Vībotne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jūlijs Vībotne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igmārs Drozds-Strazdiņš in the 42nd minute of the match. Paulis Lapains received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Indriķis Pelkauss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lodumi's zone, Juliāns Vaiders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Indriķis Pelkauss came out of the goal and Juliāns Vaiders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Paulis Lapains made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Juliāns Vaiders managed to get in a good position for a shot. FHS Gramzda's supporters rose to their feet, but Juliāns Vaiders was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Indriķis Pelkauss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Persijs Ladusāns fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lodumi's protests and gave Persijs Ladusāns a yellow card for diving instead. Persijs Ladusāns kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Juliāns Vaiders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Indriķis Pelkauss having to interfere. If Juliāns Vaiders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulis Lapains got in the 66th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Indriķis Pelkauss handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The supporters of FHS Gramzda booed when Lodumi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberts Emkalns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulis Lapains sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Juliāns Vaiders managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 86th minute, one of Lodumi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lodumi. After some careless play in the Lodumi defense, Paulis Lapains kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Indriķis Pelkauss. The Lodumi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Indriķis Pelkauss should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliāns Vaiders in the 98th minute of play forced Lodumi's goalkeeper Indriķis Pelkauss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
