Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gusts Strautāns in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavs Zēģele prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Svens Raudups kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Zemīte's Gustavs Zēģele got control of the ball when Gusts Strautāns tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kazimirs Jānītis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunārs Dzierkalis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Pēteris Žurkēvics fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everts Šķelmis having to interfere. In the 63rd minute of the match Ēriks Rinkmanis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Everts Šķelmis skillfully saved the ball. Gustavs Zēģele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Vasarājs in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Svens Raudups during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Svens Raudups kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Valters Pumpītis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavs Zēģele skillfully saved the ball. In the 76th match minute, Peternieki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunārs Dzierkalis to maneuver through the defense. Everts Šķelmis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pēteris Žurkēvics in the 89th minute of play. If Artis Kalamburs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zemīte's Gustavs Zēģele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Zemīte from getting a goal against them. After 96 minutes of play, Peternieki's Gusts Strautāns made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavs Zēģele was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peternieki eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
