Gustavs Zēģele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uldis Fleiss in the 42nd minute of play. If Uldis Fleiss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vairis Pantejevs to make the kick off. Vairis Pantejevs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute of the match Intars Janpēters shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavs Zēģele showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gustavs Zēģele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vairis Pantejevs's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Zemīte's goalkeeper Gustavs Zēģele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uldis Fleiss. The FK Ozo fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when FK Ozo's Uldis Fleiss looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee showed Žanis Gudelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Uldis Fleiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gustavs Zēģele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vairis Pantejevs might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavs Zēģele. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
