Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aldris Kruzs made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, PFK Smiltnieki's Ardis Kumskis got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 4 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when PFK Lielzalve's Aldris Kruzs fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 7 minutes into the match, PFK Smiltnieki's goal looked a bit too open when Aldris Kruzs came free, but Dāgs Kairāns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Mintauts Seņavskis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dāgs Kairāns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldris Kruzs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When PFK Smiltnieki's Agnis Cērpiņš in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PFK Lielzalve's goalie prevented a goal. Mintauts Seņavskis took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dāgs Kairāns. Dāgs Kairāns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Agnis Cērpiņš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pēteris Kadiķoga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matīss Zeltiņš could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Pēteris Kadiķoga made a huge save. Dāgs Kairāns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldris Kruzs in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aldris Kruzs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dāgs Kairāns was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Aldris Kruzs managed to get in a good position for a shot. PFK Lielzalve's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldris Kruzs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dāgs Kairāns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dāgs Kairāns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigmunds Pedersens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Matīss Zeltiņš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Matīss Zeltiņš got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute of the match, Askolds Cvimmers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pēteris Kadiķoga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aldris Kruzs kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Matīss Zeltiņš recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agnis Cērpiņš to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matīss Zeltiņš in the 53rd minute of play forced PFK Lielzalve's goalkeeper Pēteris Kadiķoga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dāgs Kairāns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldris Kruzs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldris Kruzs in the 62nd minute of play forced PFK Smiltnieki's goalkeeper Dāgs Kairāns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PFK Smiltnieki's Dāgs Kairāns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save PFK Smiltnieki from getting a goal against them. Aivis Seilis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dāgs Kairāns. PFK Smiltnieki's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Matīss Zeltiņš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PFK Smiltnieki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matīss Zeltiņš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pēteris Kadiķoga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matīss Zeltiņš in the 80th minute of the match. Matīss Zeltiņš sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PFK Smiltnieki's Dāgs Kairāns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldris Kruzs in the 88th minute of play. Mintauts Seņavskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Edvīns Rags hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The PFK Smiltnieki supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PFK Lielzalve's performance. The match ended with a win for PFK Lielzalve.
