The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Valērijs Krims had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frīdis Grundāns hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. PFK Vecviekskele's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Valērijs Krims scored to the left of an out of position Maigurs Simsons, making the score, 1-0. Jānis Deselis kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Ģederts Dārznieks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valērijs Krims in the 10th minute of play forced PFK Vecviekskele's goalkeeper Maigurs Simsons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Māris Norkus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the game, Valērijs Krims lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Maigurs Simsons. A hard shot 20 in the game by Kaspars Pilsarājs from a close distance when the talented Maigurs Simsons managed to make a qualified save. PFK Vecviekskele's players were relieved. Ardis Landmesers's late challenge caught a PFK Vecviekskele's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ardis Landmesers helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SK Koaknese getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ardis Landmesers hit a great ball. The supporters of PFK Vecviekskele booed when SK Koaknese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ardis Landmesers didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Konrāds Balēvs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Uvis Kurciss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pauls Gulbītis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Guntars Statkuss fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PFK Vecviekskele's protests and gave Guntars Statkuss a yellow card for diving instead. Guntars Statkuss hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Valērijs Krims's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maigurs Simsons read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After 49 minutes, Konrāds Balēvs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PFK Vecviekskele and the SK Koaknese players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 49 played minutes PFK Vecviekskele got a freekick which was hit by Konrāds Balēvs.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valērijs Krims stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes SK Koaknese got a freekick which was hit by Ritvaldis Leimanis. Kaspars Pilsarājs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Konrāds Balēvs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute Konrāds Balēvs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dainis Fizers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valērijs Krims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Maigurs Simsons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PFK Vecviekskele's Maigurs Simsons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valērijs Krims in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PFK Vecviekskele's Māris Norkus got a free kick in the 67th minute. Kaspars Pilsarājs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maigurs Simsons having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kaspars Pilsarājs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maigurs Simsons was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. With a little luck, SK Koaknese's Dainis Fizers got control of the ball when Ģederts Dārznieks tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 90th play minutes Valērijs Krims shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Maigurs Simsons and just under the crossbar into goal. Valērijs Krims recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SK Koaknese walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
