In the 25th minute Pavel Tankovich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristiāns Orluks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on FC Royal Academy's corner Aļģirts Hidekels fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Muammer Taşcıoğlu quite easily take care of the ball. If Pavel Tankovich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute, Mário Modesto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Nereta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Kristiāns Orluks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Modesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Modesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristiāns Orluks having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Mário Modesto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristiāns Orluks was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Normunds Mulareks was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, FC Royal Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Modesto came free, but Kristiāns Orluks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristiāns Orluks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Modesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Kristiāns Orluks came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Nereta's Iosif Lițu. But to his dismay, Iosif Lițu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Skaidris Mačulis got free with Muammer Taşcıoğlu in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Muammer Taşcıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Normunds Mulareks in the 76th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Mário Modesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristiāns Orluks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristiāns Orluks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Modesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
