Spectators: 8283 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 2108, VIP seats: 175) Druvis Botāns started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Viesturs Vidavs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Viesturs Vidavs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armands Bumaga-Papīrs. Viesturs Vidavs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Polkas's Druvis Botāns got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viestards Dzervens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 13 minutes in the game, Druvis Botāns fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Armands Bumaga-Papīrs having to interfere. In the 15th minute Druvis Botāns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armands Bumaga-Papīrs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, SK Riga 1998's Ingus Štokenbergs made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gints Levans was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 24 played minutes Polkas got a freekick which was hit by Viestards Dzervens. Gints Levans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Imants Zvaigznonis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gints Levans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingus Štokenbergs, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute, Ādolfs Ūķis-Drūmais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Riga 1998's Armands Bumaga-Papīrs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viesturs Vidavs in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Polkas booed when SK Riga 1998 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dāvids Svikulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viesturs Vidavs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Polkas's Druvis Botāns ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armands Bumaga-Papīrs. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ingus Štokenbergs managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Riga 1998's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingus Štokenbergs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gints Levans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingus Štokenbergs to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Druvis Botāns in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armands Bumaga-Papīrs saved SK Riga 1998 from getting behind. In the 55th minute, Viestards Dzervens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polkas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viesturs Vidavs in the 59th minute of play forced SK Riga 1998's goalkeeper Armands Bumaga-Papīrs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Viestards Dzervens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Druvis Botāns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armands Bumaga-Papīrs having to interfere. If Viestards Dzervens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 67 minutes, Druvis Botāns made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. SK Riga 1998's Armands Bumaga-Papīrs tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Druvis Botāns went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viestards Dzervens in the 78th minute of play forced SK Riga 1998's goalkeeper Armands Bumaga-Papīrs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viestards Dzervens kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes SK Riga 1998 got a freekick which was hit by Māris Zubrickis. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Normunds Purviņš in the 85th minute of play. Viesturs Vidavs scored 9-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armands Bumaga-Papīrs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viestards Dzervens in the 92nd minute of play forced SK Riga 1998's goalkeeper Armands Bumaga-Papīrs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Polkas got a freekick which was hit by Egons Knopkiņš. When the referee ended the match the Polkas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
