Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oskar Skarkman in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gints Levans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute of the match Lielkangari got a corner. Polkas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Radomir Bochynski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Radomir Bochynski made a great header on Lielkangari's corner, it was just that Polkas's Gints Levans managed to reach the ball for a save. Lielkangari's Ermo Kaldvee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Lielkangari from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lielkangari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polkas the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Lielkangari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimonds Subačs to maneuver through the defense. After 72 played minutes, Polkas's Sandis Tobiass shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ermo Kaldvee came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Polkas reached it. 73 minutes into the match, Polkas's goal looked a bit too open when Radomir Bochynski came free, but Gints Levans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gints Levans made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Kaspars Biezeks sent off a good shot on target. Kaspars Biezeks struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Gints Levans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lielkangari. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaspars Biezeks got free with Gints Levans in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ermo Kaldvee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viesturs Vidavs, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polkas's goalkeeper Gints Levans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oskar Skarkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gints Levans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Kaspars Biezeks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gints Levans. Polkas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaspars Biezeks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. If Kaspars Biezeks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Polkas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lielkangari were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
