Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ingus Štokenbergs started the match with the kick off. In the 7th match minute, SK Riga 1998 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Imants Zvaigznonis to maneuver through the defense. Romāns Libors kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Karl-Axel Sjöberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 16 minutes into the match, Slepenā biedrība's Mārtiņs Vilks broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mārtiņs Vilks in the 21st minute of play. SK Riga 1998's Armands Bumaga-Papīrs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mārtiņs Vilks in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Imants Zvaigznonis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vladimirs Strupulis. The goal made the score 1-2. Miķelis Botāns kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, SK Riga 1998's goal looked a bit too open when Mārtiņs Vilks came free, but Armands Bumaga-Papīrs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mārtiņs Vilks took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armands Bumaga-Papīrs. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 47th minute of the match, Ingus Štokenbergs got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vladimirs Strupulis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mārtiņs Vilks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Ingus Štokenbergs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Vladimirs Strupulis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 62 played minutes Slepenā biedrība got a freekick which was hit by Meldris Vītoliņš. When Karl-Axel Sjöberg came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Slepenā biedrība fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Axel Sjöberg couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, SK Riga 1998 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mārtiņs Rungulis to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Axel Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armands Bumaga-Papīrs having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Einārs Soprāns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armands Bumaga-Papīrs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Slepenā biedrība's goal looked a bit too open when Imants Zvaigznonis came free, but Vladimirs Strupulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute Ingus Štokenbergs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimirs Strupulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimirs Strupulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingus Štokenbergs, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Axel Sjöberg in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Mārtiņs Vilks notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of SK Riga 1998's Armands Bumaga-Papīrs. Armands Bumaga-Papīrs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
