In the 19th minute, Hayrettin Kapsam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Daugava fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Valts Markitāns struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Cacá 龙青 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SKONTO FC. Vello Valdma took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agris Vatmanis. Agris Vatmanis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Hayrettin Kapsam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Agris Vatmanis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 29 minutes of play, SK Daugava's Nikolajs Levmanis made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agris Vatmanis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, León Solis notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of SKONTO FC's Agris Vatmanis. Agris Vatmanis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Hayrettin Kapsam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SK Daugava booed when SKONTO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valts Markitāns didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Vello Valdma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agris Vatmanis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolajs Levmanis in the 44th minute of play forced SKONTO FC's goalkeeper Agris Vatmanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juris Čiriks charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juris Čiriks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juris Čiriks hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hayrettin Kapsam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, SKONTO FC's Laimiņs Sandale seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Laimiņs Sandale the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SKONTO FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Laimiņs Sandale had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Laimiņs Sandale hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind SKONTO FC's goalkeeper Agris Vatmanis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hayrettin Kapsam got free with Agris Vatmanis in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th play minute Hayrettin Kapsam came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Agris Vatmanis. 1-6. After a defensive mix-up in SKONTO FC's zone, Āris Ventnieks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agris Vatmanis came out of the goal and Āris Ventnieks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute, Emil Ştefănuţ left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Daugava fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Hayrettin Kapsams short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Agris Vatmanis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Agris Vatmanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vello Valdma in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by SKONTO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Namejs Vasivcevs was slow to take the kick. During this time SK Daugava's players had a chance to rest. SKONTO FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Vello Valdma scored to the left of an out of position Agris Vatmanis, making the score, 1-8. 79 minutes into the match, SKONTO FC's goalkeeper Agris Vatmanis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hayrettin Kapsam. In the 80th minute, SK Daugava's Āris Ventnieks dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. After 83 minutes, Gong Feng Zhen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Daugava and the SKONTO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SK Daugava getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gong Feng Zhen hit a great ball. A hard shot 87 in the game by Hayrettin Kapsam from a close distance when the talented Agris Vatmanis managed to make a qualified save. SKONTO FC's players were relieved. 89 minutes into the match, Vello Valdma dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Agris Vatmanis, 1-10. After 93 played minutes SK Daugava got a freekick which was hit by Gong Feng Zhen. In the 94th minute of the match Dans Kauskals sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cacá 龙青 skillfully saved the ball. SK Daugava's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
