After a defensive mix-up in SKONTO FC's zone, Ziedonis Jauntēvs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agris Vatmanis came out of the goal and Ziedonis Jauntēvs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Knuts Matrēvics took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Agris Vatmanis to make any attempt to save it. In the 62nd minute, Dans Kauskals got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SKONTO FC's Valts Markitāns got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot by Aleksejs Pīgoznis from long distance, 71 minutes into the match, got Agris Vatmanis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Agris Vatmanis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ziedonis Jauntēvs's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, FC Whiskey Team's Ziedonis Jauntēvs ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Agris Vatmanis. SKONTO FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Knuts Matrēvics scored to the left of an out of position Agris Vatmanis, making the score, 0-6. FC Whiskey Team's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
