In the 4th minute, Henrihs Linkūns ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jānis Lielais was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, DZINTARS's Henrihs Linkūns sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jānis Lielais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SK Annenieki were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after DZINTARS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reinholds Jaunzems took the corner. Indris Tomass scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pål Bergmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jāzeps Pics in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pål Bergmann saved DZINTARS from getting behind. Pål Bergmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jāzeps Pics in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrihs Linkūns in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jānis Lielais saved SK Annenieki from getting behind. Henrihs Linkūns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kārlis Dzintars in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jānis Lielais saved SK Annenieki from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egons Ozollapa. Pål Bergmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indris Tomass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes DZINTARS got a freekick which was hit by Egons Ozollapa. Egons Ozollapa hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save SK Annenieki from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrihs Linkūns in the 52nd minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Jāzeps Pics made a precise shot to the right of Pål Bergmann. DZINTARS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. DZINTARS's Kristofers Pielis was substituted for Kārlis Dzintars. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jāzeps Pics in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pål Bergmann saved DZINTARS from getting behind. After 60th play minutes Jāzeps Pics shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Pål Bergmann and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 66th minute, DZINTARS's Carlos Alberto Vidal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlos Alberto Vidal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of DZINTARS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlos Alberto Vidal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Carlos Alberto Vidal hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pål Bergmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinholds Jaunzems, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrihs Linkūns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jānis Lielais having to interfere. SK Annenieki made a substitution. Santis Krūzītis replaced Normunds Vēbers. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jāzeps Pics in the 77th minute of play. Reinholds Jaunzems hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. A collision led to DZINTARS getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ansis Barovskis hit a great ball. Pål Bergmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristaps Krāmens in the 80th minute of play. Pål Bergmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jāzeps Pics, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pål Bergmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinholds Jaunzems in the 87th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aigars Builis during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jānis Lielais came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by DZINTARS's Kristofers Pielis. But to his dismay, Kristofers Pielis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save DZINTARS from getting a goal against them. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
