FC Iecēni's Genaro Ponciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkādijs Vietnieks in the 15th minute of play. Genaro Ponciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from He Chen Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Sigit Sulaksana managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when FC Iecēni's Olavs Eliass fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 19th minute He Chen Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Ponciano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Olivier Rogers in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Iecēni's Uvis Svitiņš. Anatols Bundziņš's late challenge caught a FC Iecēni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anatols Bundziņš helped the player get up and apologised. Anatols Bundziņš hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Iecēni's Viesturs Pilāns got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Cafu Munhoz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Genaro Ponciano. FC Iecēni's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. He Chen Xi might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genaro Ponciano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. He Chen Xi ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Olavs Eliass kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sigit Sulaksana. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. After some careless play in the FK Tornado defense, Marek Hamšík kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sigit Sulaksana. The FK Tornado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sigit Sulaksana should have stopped the shot. After having played for 36 minutes, Arkādijs Vietnieks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Tornado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arkādijs Vietnieks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olavs Eliass in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sigit Sulaksana, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arkādijs Vietnieks took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Genaro Ponciano. FC Iecēni's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marek Hamšík made a kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigit Sulaksana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Marek Hamšík sped through FK Tornado's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sigit Sulaksana. Olavs Eliass sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sigit Sulaksana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavs Eliass in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Viktors Behmans made a precise shot to the right of Sigit Sulaksana. FK Tornado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. FC Iecēni were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after FK Tornado's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gints Lielgalvis took the corner. When Uvis Svitiņš came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the FC Iecēni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uvis Svitiņš couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the game, Olivier Rogers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Tornado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Iecēni the free kick. After 85 played minutes FK Tornado got a freekick which was hit by Olivier Rogers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktors Behmans in the 86th minute of play forced FK Tornado's goalkeeper Sigit Sulaksana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, He Chen Xi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavs Eliass in the 90th minute of play forced FK Tornado's goalkeeper Sigit Sulaksana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
