The supporters of Black horses booed when Fk Kurzeme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marģers Gaubšteins didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Cipriano Sauveur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lars Setz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdis Felbergs made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Ilmārs Kopāns sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the game, Black horses's Cipriano Sauveur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lars Setz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The Black horses fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Black horses's Cipriano Sauveur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26th minute 김 감 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Setz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black horses's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Sauveur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Setz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Sauveur in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Setz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fk Kurzeme's Lars Setz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 45th minute of play. Lars Setz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Sauveur in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cipriano Sauveur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Setz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Black horses's Andžs Redzobs was substituted for Balvis Kiberkalns. After a rather tough play, Black horses's Jakub Swierczok got a free kick in the 68th minute. Lars Setz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Assendelft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jakub Swierczok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Assendelft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Assendelft got free with Lars Setz in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Fk Kurzeme's Lars Setz got control of the ball when Marco Assendelft tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fk Kurzeme's Lars Setz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Swierczok in the 80th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marco Assendelft kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lars Setz. That made the score 2-9 in the 92 minute of play. Marco Assendelft took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lars Setz. Lars Setz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-10. Black horses's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
