FC Riga were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after SK Annenieki's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Voldemārs Cariņš took the corner. FC Riga's Voldemārs Cariņš was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jānis Lielais in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When FC Riga's Kip Bout in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SK Annenieki's goalie prevented a goal. Kip Bout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Jānis Lielais made a huge save. 15 minutes into the game, Indris Tomass cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Saivis Kikals was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Kip Bout sped through SK Annenieki's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jānis Lielais. Saivis Kikals took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jāzeps Pics, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisão Linares hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Riga's Kaspars Ketris got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Jāzeps Pics shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saivis Kikals saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reinholds Jaunzems fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saivis Kikals having to interfere. Saivis Kikals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinholds Jaunzems in the 34th minute of the match. Kip Bout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jānis Lielais made a huge save. Kip Bout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kaspars Ketris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saivis Kikals made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indris Tomass in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Kip Bout made the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Kip Bout who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Annenieki's Jānis Lielais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kip Bout's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jānis Lielais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kip Bout's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jānis Lielais was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Saivis Kikals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinholds Jaunzems, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Saivis Kikals was a little too slow when Donats Rudmalis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-2. With a little luck, FC Riga's Saivis Kikals got control of the ball when Aivils Aiza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Saivis Kikals made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jāzeps Pics in the 88th minute of play. In the last second Saivis Kikals throw himself and got hold of the ball when Vilis Lettlands in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With a little luck, FC Riga's Saivis Kikals got control of the ball when Jāzeps Pics tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jāzeps Pics in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Riga's goalkeeper Saivis Kikals to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saivis Kikals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jāzeps Pics in the 93rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ludis Vaicātājs managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Annenieki's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludis Vaicātājs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saivis Kikals breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SK Annenieki's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
