Mareks Vārpiņš stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrihs Linkūns's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Mareks Vārpiņš took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrihs Linkūns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led DZINTARS's Egons Ozollapa to fire away a dangerous shot which Mareks Vārpiņš despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrihs Linkūns in the 13th minute of play forced Insane Raccoons FC's goalkeeper Mareks Vārpiņš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DZINTARS's Pål Bergmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save DZINTARS from getting a goal against them. If Henrihs Linkūns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severīns Pirtslāva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Pål Bergmann made a huge save. Insane Raccoons FC's Mareks Vārpiņš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egons Ozollapa in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Henrihs Linkūns who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Insane Raccoons FC's Mareks Vārpiņš was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Luís Fantini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pål Bergmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Mareks Vārpiņš came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by DZINTARS's Kārlis Dzintars. But to his dismay, Kārlis Dzintars quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Severīns Pirtslāva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Pål Bergmann made a huge save. Insane Raccoons FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after DZINTARS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ojārs Juskens took the corner. After taking down the ball on Insane Raccoons FC's corner Ojārs Juskens fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pål Bergmann quite easily take care of the ball. After 42 played minutes Insane Raccoons FC got a freekick which was hit by Mariuss Knutiņš. Mareks Vārpiņš showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ģirts Ozols in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to DZINTARS getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Egons Ozollapa hit a great ball.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Henrihs Linkūns put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Mareks Vārpiņš. Henrihs Linkūns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Mareks Vārpiņš made a huge save. DZINTARS made a substitution. Kristofers Pielis replaced Kārlis Dzintars. DZINTARS's Henrihs Linkūns got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Insane Raccoons FC's Mareks Vārpiņš got control of the ball when Ģirts Ozols tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severīns Pirtslāva in the 70th minute of play forced DZINTARS's goalkeeper Pål Bergmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrihs Linkūns in the 73rd minute of play forced Insane Raccoons FC's goalkeeper Mareks Vārpiņš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Insane Raccoons FC's goalkeeper Mareks Vārpiņš, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Ģirts Ozols could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Mareks Vārpiņš however easily saved by the left post. Ojārs Juskens's late challenge caught a DZINTARS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ojārs Juskens helped the player get up and apologised. 93 minutes into the match, DZINTARS's Henrihs Linkūns sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mareks Vārpiņš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severīns Pirtslāva in the 95th minute of play forced DZINTARS's goalkeeper Pål Bergmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
