The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lars Setz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zemgus Lakstenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. A collision led to Fk Kurzeme getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ilmārs Kopāns hit a great ball. Ilmārs Kopāns's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Eskil Lövgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eskil Lövgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilmārs Kopāns in the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Brankas's Igors Eidusējiņš got a free kick in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Marģers Gaubšteins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fk Kurzeme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Brankas the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Fk Kurzeme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marģers Gaubšteins to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 15 in the game by Ilmārs Kopāns from a close distance when the talented Eskil Lövgren managed to make a qualified save. FC Brankas's players were relieved. In the 16th minute Zemgus Lakstenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Setz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Fk Kurzeme's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Helström came free, but Lars Setz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fk Kurzeme's Lars Setz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Helström in the 38th minute of play. Andris Freimentāls recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FC Brankas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Armands Virskuls hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ilmārs Kopāns stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fred Mériau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eskil Lövgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Ilmārs Kopāns who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Brankas's Eskil Lövgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fk Kurzeme's Lars Setz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igors Eidusējiņš in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fk Kurzeme's Marģers Gaubšteins got a free kick in the 79th minute. Lars Setz was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Igors Eidusējiņš capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Igors Eidusējiņš really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Fk Kurzeme's Lars Setz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Helström in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Ilmārs Kopāns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilmārs Kopāns blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eskil Lövgren having to make a save. Eskil Lövgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilmārs Kopāns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Brankas's zone, Ilmārs Kopāns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eskil Lövgren came out of the goal and Ilmārs Kopāns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute Gastons Kapaklis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Lövgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Fk Kurzeme supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Brankas's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Brankas.
